I adore cooking as well as eating. However, I must admit that I am a lazy cook who favours quick, wholesome, and delectable cuisine. I dislike spending a lot of time in the kitchen. Because of this, the majority of my recipes are quite simple and can be easily prepared by beginners.
Easy Asian-style mushroom noodles are another quick and easy recipe I’m providing here.
Your meal is ready after just cooking some noodles, sautéing some garlic and mushrooms, adding sauces, seasoning with salt and pepper, and adding noodles and spring onions.
Making these mushroom noodles is quite simple. It comes together quickly and needs very little chopping. You may cook a delightful dish of Indo-Chinese noodles with button mushrooms, spring onions, soy sauce, spices, and noodles that will not only surprise your family but also make them fight for a third serving!
White button mushrooms were used in my version of mushroom noodles, but any other type of mushroom will do. You might also use a variety of mushrooms together.
Spaghetti or noodles can both be used in this dish. Don’t cook spaghetti al dente if you’re using it in an Asian cuisine. It should be fully cooked but not mushy from being overcooked.
Oyster sauce: Use the one made with oyster mushrooms if you’re vegan or vegetarian. It’s conveniently accessible in many Asian grocery stores. You may also choose to use another Asian stir-fry sauce.
Noodles with mushrooms in them:
200 gms NoodlesMushrooms, 300-400 grammes1/2 tbsp minced garlic1 teaspoon of chopped ginger green peppers, choppedWhite or black pepper, half a teaspoon1/2 cup spring onions, cut1 to 2 tsp celery, finely sliced (optional)Oil, 2 to 2.5 tbsp.1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 teaspoon rice vinegarGreen spring onions for garnish, salted as needed
Mushroom Noodles Recipe:
1. Begin by cooking the noodles al dente. Set them aside.
2.Heat the oil in a pan, kadai, or wok. Add the chopped garlic, ginger, and green chilies to the pan on low to medium heat first. You can add more green chilies for spicier, hotter-tasting noodles.
3. Add the chopped spring onions after a brief period of sautéing. Include the white and green components. For garnish, set aside 2 tablespoons of the greens.
4. Continue to stir and cook the spring onions until they become transparent. Then include the mushroom slices.
5.Saute the mushrooms over a medium-high heat while stirring them often. While cooking, the mushrooms will release water.
6. Keep sauteing the mushrooms until all of the water has evaporated and the edges are lightly browned.Add fresh black pepper after that.
7. Add the soy sauce and thoroughly whisk. Noodles are added. As needed, season with salt.
8. Thoroughly stir and toss the noodles. Include white vinegar or rice vinegar. Mix and stir. Add the spring onion greens after turning off the heat.
9. Stir everything together one more time before serving the mushroom noodles plain, with dry veg manchurian, veg manchurian gravy, or with veg balls in hot garlic sauce.
WHAT TO STORE?
Transfer the noodles to an airtight container after they have warmed up to room temperature. For two to three days, refrigerate.
Reheat in the microwave for a few minutes or in a covered pan over a low flame for a few minutes, or until well heated. Every 2-3 minutes, continue to check and stir.
RECIPE ADVICE AND HINTS:
Since the sauces already include salt, only use more salt as necessary.
In this dish, spaghetti may also be used in place of the noodles. Don’t cook spaghetti al dente though if using it in an Asian cuisine. Asian dishes call for a somewhat softer texture.
If vegan or vegetarian oyster sauce is not available, feel free to substitute any other Asian stir-fry sauce of your preference.
To stir-fry, always use a large wok. It facilitates food stirring.
For the finest results, stir fried over a high flame.
Keep all the ingredients prepared and close to the stove top before beginning the Asian-style stir-frying because it is done over a high flame.
